Eckerö Line offers fast and comfortable ferry travel between Helsinki and Tallinn, with crossings taking just 2 hours and 15 minutes. The company operates two vessels under the Finnish flag. MS Finlandia serves passengers and departs from Helsinki West Harbour West Terminal 2, while Finbo Cargo handles freight and departs from Vuosaari Harbour.
Founded in 1994, Eckerö Line is proudly Finnish, known for friendly service, Nordic hospitality, and professional crews working under Finnish collective agreements. On board MS Finlandia, you can enjoy freshly prepared Nordic meals, duty free shopping, and live music, the only ferry on this route offering live entertainment. Please arrive at the port at least 1 hour before departure. Check-in closes 45 minutes before departure for foot passengers and 60 minutes before departure for vehicles.

Paper tickets are not provided. Use your booking confirmation code that we send you, to collect your ticket or boarding pass at the ticket booth before boarding.
Vehicles on Board
Both vessels allow vehicles on board, including bicycles and motorcycles. For cars, campers, trucks, or vehicles with additional equipment, check prices during booking or contact customer support. Vehicles must meet size and safety requirements and have proper insurance and documentation.
- Electric or hybrid cars involved in a collision cannot be transported on MS Finlandia.
- Vehicles exceeding 3000 kg require a specific booking under car unit 3.
- Using mobile devices while driving in the harbor, on the ramp, or on the car deck is strictly prohibited.

- Follow all instructions given by crew, port authorities, or local officials during your trip.
- Do not disturb other passengers or cause any risk to safety. Failure to comply may result in removal without a refund.
- Passengers under the influence or behaving disruptively may be denied boarding.
- Travelers are liable for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence.

Eckerö Line Pet Policy
Pets are welcome on all Eckerö Line vessels. To ensure a pleasant journey for everyone, please follow these simple guidelines:
Before Your Trip
- Pets travel free of charge, but you must book a place for your pet in advance through customer support.
- You will need a valid pet passport, health certificate, or service dog license to travel.
Where Pets Can Stay
- Small pets in a carrier or pet bag are allowed in passenger areas, except in restaurants, bars, the Conference Center, and the Lounge.
- Larger pets must stay in the ship’s kennel, a pet cabin if available, or in your car on the car deck.
- The car deck is closed during the trip and can get warm in summer, so plan your pet’s stay carefully.
- In some cases, a kennel may be required regardless of your pet’s size.
Rules for Pets Onboard
- Dogs must wear a muzzle at all times when outside a carrier or pet bag.
- Service dogs are welcome without muzzle or kennel restrictions.
Make sure to bring all the essentials your pet needs for a comfortable and safe trip.

Eckerö Line Luggage Allowance
Each passenger can bring up to 50 kg of luggage when traveling with Eckerö Line. On board MS Finlandia, you will find free luggage rooms on deck 6 near the information desk and on deck 7 by the lobby. Remember to store your bags before departure, as the rooms are locked during the trip and reopen about 30 minutes before arrival.
Paid storage lockers are also available on decks 6 and 7. Use your boarding pass QR code to access them. Keep in mind that unattended luggage is not allowed, and during busy periods, storage space may be limited — booking a cabin is a good option if you want extra room.
If you are carrying hunting or hobby firearms, leave them in your vehicle if traveling by car, or hand them to onboard security if traveling on foot.
