Fred. Olsen Express Check-In & Boarding
Arrival Time
If you are traveling with a vehicle, you must be ready for boarding at least 40 minutes before departure. For the Canary Islands – Huelva route, both foot passengers and those with vehicles should arrive at least 1 hour before departure, but it is recommended to arrive 3 hours early if you wish to take advantage of early boarding, when available.
eTicket Options
eTickets are available. You will need to complete the web check-in, which opens once your booking with us is confirmed and closes 2 hours before the ferry departs.
Web Check-In
Web check-in is mandatory for eTickets and must be done by the passenger between booking confirmation and up to 2 hours before departure.
Paper Ticket
Paper tickets are not provided.
Booking Confirmation
Use your booking confirmation code that we send you, to collect your physical boarding pass or ticket at the ferry company’s ticket booth, if required.
Vehicles on Board
Nine out of the fourteen vessels in the fleet allow vehicles on board. Bicycles and motorcycles are welcome. For cars, campers, trucks, or vehicles with special dimensions or equipment, please check prices during booking or contact customer support.
- Vehicles must be in good condition and comply with safety requirements.
- Dangerous goods cannot be transported without prior authorization.
- Vehicles with loads exceeding their dimensions are not accepted.
- Motorbikes and mopeds will be properly secured by the crew on the car deck.
- Access to the car deck is prohibited during crossings on high-speed vessels.
Boarding and Disembarking
- Follow all crew instructions at all times during boarding and disembarking.
- Use only designated walkways, ramps, and pedestrian areas.
- Be cautious, as floors may be wet, especially outdoors.
- Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for boarding conditions.
- Drivers must follow all signals and park as directed by the staff.
- Start the vehicle only when instructed and secure it properly once parked.

Fred. Olsen Express Pet Policy
Pets are welcome on board, but a few rules help ensure a safe and comfortable journey for all.
Booking and Limits
- Each pet needs a ticket, except for service and support dogs.
- Maximum of two pets per passenger. For more, contact customer support.
Where Pets Can Stay
- Small pets can travel in a carrier, pet room, or on a pet sofa. Carriers must be secure, closed, and placed on the floor.
- Pets over 10 kg must use the ship’s kennel or pet room. A kennel may be required regardless of size.
- Pets are not allowed in indoor passenger areas unless inside a carrier.
Onboard Rules
- Dogs must wear a muzzle and be leashed outside carriers. Dangerous breeds must follow additional safety rules.
- Free roaming is not allowed anywhere on board.
- Service dogs are exempt from muzzle and kennel rules but must follow general safety guidelines.
Other Information
- Owners are responsible for their pets at all times.
- Special care is advised for heat-sensitive breeds.
- Pets may stay in vehicles at the owner’s risk. Make sure conditions are safe and ventilated.
- A valid pet passport, health certificate, or service dog license is required.

Fred. Olsen Express Luggage Allowance
Each passenger is allowed up to 20 kg of personal luggage. If you need to carry more, additional fees may apply. Luggage must be placed in the designated areas on board as indicated by the crew. Keep in mind that valuables should not be included in checked luggage, as the company does not accept responsibility for them.
The transport of hazardous or illegal goods is strictly prohibited, unless authorized under specific freight transport conditions.
