Grandi Navi Veloci Check-In & Boarding
Arrival Time
For trips within Italy and the EU, arrive at least 2 hours before departure if traveling with a vehicle, and 1 hour if traveling without. For non-Schengen routes (Albania, Morocco, Tunisia), you should arrive 4 hours before departure, regardless of whether you are traveling with or without a vehicle.

Paper Ticket
Paper tickets are not provided. You will collect your boarding pass at the terminal.
Booking Confirmation
With your booking confirmation code that you’ll receive from us, you can collect your boarding pass at the ferry company’s ticket booth. After check-in, you must stay inside the boarding area until you board the ferry.
Vehicles on Board
All 25 GNV vessels allow vehicles on board. You may also bring bicycles or motorcycles. For cars, campers, vans, or trucks, check prices during booking or contact our support team.
- Passengers must declare accurate vehicle dimensions and details during booking.
- Vehicles powered by LPG or methane must be reported at boarding.
- Only drivers are permitted in the vehicle during embarkation and disembarkation.
- GNV reserves the right to refuse boarding to vehicles that do not comply with the booking details.
Required Documents
You must present a valid ID or passport at check-in and boarding. Residence cards or driving licenses are not accepted as valid travel documents. Minors traveling alone or with one parent may need additional documentation depending on nationality.

Grandi Navi Veloci Pet Policy
Pets are welcome aboard Grandi Navi Veloci ferries, so you and your pet can enjoy a comfortable trip. Keep in mind:
- Pet-friendly cabins are available (book in advance) and require a pet ticket.
- Pets over 10 kg must stay in the ship’s kennel.
- Small pets (under 10 kg) may stay in your carrier but may still need a kennel depending on the route.
- Dogs must always be leashed and muzzled in common areas.
- Service dogs are exempt but must be announced before travel.
- Pets cannot roam indoors or freely on deck but will find designated walking areas.
- Carry all required documents (pet passport, health certificate, or service dog license).
- For Spain, additional documents and valid rabies vaccination are mandatory (pets must be at least 15 weeks old).

- Medical records, ID-tag collar, leash, and muzzle
- Food, water, bowls, and hygiene supplies
- Extra food, a recent photo, and comfort items

Grandi Navi Veloci Luggage Allowance
You are allowed to bring up to two pieces of hand luggage containing personal items such as clothing. There is no specific weight limit, but your bags should be for personal use only. If you plan to bring extra bags, keep in mind that on routes to and from Tunisia, excess baggage may incur a fee of €15 per additional piece. Non-personal items, like household goods or appliances, may be subject to higher charges.
