Grassi Junior Fleet

The Grassi Junior fleet consists of three robust and modern high-speed vessels: Mizar, Golfo dei Poeti, and Azzurra Seconda (launched in December 2025). They transport locals and tourists across the Amalfi Coast all year round. While motor vehicles are not allowed on board, foot passengers can bring their bicycles to explore once they arrive at their destination.

Based in Positano, on the iconic Amalfi Coast, Grassi Junior is a mooring, boat rental, and ferry company. This key family-owned operator was founded in 1950 and has since offered unique ways to discover the Amalfi Coast by sea.

Its three-vessel ferry fleet connects Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Salerno, and the iconic island of Capri. None of Grassi Junior’s ferry vessels allow motor vehicles onboard (like cars, motorbikes or vans). But you’ll be able to take you bicycle with you for an additional price of €5.

Passengers without a Vehicle

Grassi Junior only accepts foot passengers on board, ensuring a high-speed journey and easy boarding. The vessels are designed for the comfort and accessibility of foot passengers.

Grassi Junior Pet Policy

Traveling with your pet on Grassi ferries is easy and convenient. Just make sure you follow these general guidelines for a smooth and comfortable travel for your furry friend and all other passengers:

  • Pets must be accompanied by their owner, who is responsible for their care, safety, and hygiene.​
  • Pets are not allowed in indoor public areas of the ship.​
  • Dogs must be on a leash and wear a muzzle when on board.​
  • Passengers traveling with pets should carry an updated health booklet and use a transport cage for pets up to 10 kg or a muzzle for those over 10 kg.

Grassi Junior Luggage Allowance

While you may bring all the luggage you need for your trip, you may be required to pay an additional €3 fee for more hefty pieces like suitcases or larger backpacks. If you plan to travel with lots of luggage, please visit the Grassi Junior port office before departure.

On the ferry, larger luggage will be stored in designated areas by the crew. Make sure to tag your luggage, especially in the summer, when the route is busy.
