It’s a straightforward way to explore the northern Aegean by sea.
The story of Ugur Jale begins in 1923, when Eşref Jale and Ali Jale, both experienced ship captains, started sailing from Ayvalık to deliver essential goods like olive oil and timber to major Turkish cities. Their work helped shape regional maritime trade. In 1984, Engin Jale returned to Ayvalık and expanded the family business into a more modern maritime and tourism company. Today, the company continues under the leadership of Ugur Jale, staying true to its roots while bridging borders.

Arrival Time
You must be at the Ayvalık Port check-in office at least 45 minutes before your scheduled departure. If you arrive late or miss the ferry, no refund will be issued and the company is not responsible for any issues.

Paper Ticket
A paper ticket is required. You can collect it from the company’s office or print it at the port. The port agent may charge a fee for printing. Lost tickets cannot be replaced, and any changes require the original ticket.

Ugur Jale Pet Policy
Pets are welcome on Ugur Jale vessels, but some rules apply to ensure safety and comfort for all passengers:
- All dogs must wear a muzzle and be on a leash at all times, regardless of size.
- Service dogs are exempt from kennel requirements.
- Pets are not allowed inside indoor areas or to move freely on deck.
- A specific pet ticket may be required. Please contact customer support before booking.
- You must carry proper documentation for your pet. This includes a pet ID card, vaccination records, a Titration Test Certificate, and a travel document signed by a licensed veterinarian from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
