Methana sits on a volcanic peninsula in Mainland Greece, close to Athens yet much quieter than bigger Destinations. You’ll usually reach it by ferry from Athens (All Ports), so it’s an easy side trip if you’re already in the capital. Methana isn’t a busy Island hub; it feels more low-key, with relaxed waterfront walks, small beaches, and traditional tavernas.
