This week at the Ferryscanner office, the entire team participated in a First Aid seminar. The goal was for everyone to be fully prepared for how to act in the case of an emergency (Lui, our office dog helped too).
In cooperation with ActiveSafety and the instructor Mr. Georgakopoulos, here are the key points learned:
- Safely approaching the victim
- Safe transportation of the victim
- Basic life support (CPR)
- Bleeding control (shock prevention)
- Treatment of wounds (burns, scratches, etc.)
- Treatment of breakages/sprains
- Dealing with chocking/inability to breathe
- Dealing with epilepsy
- Dealing with allergies
- Basic principles of victim immobilization
- Organization of home/office pharmacy
- Practice on a special mannequin
