Baleària Check-In & Boarding
Arrival Time
For international trips, be sure to get to the terminal 2 to 3 hours before departure. Keep in mind that terminal doors close one hour before the ferry leaves.
eTicket
To receive your eTicket, you will need to complete online check-in between 72 and 24 hours before your ferry departs. Once checked in, you can download or print your boarding pass.
Web Check-In
Web check-in is available from 72 up to 24 hours before departure. Make sure to do it in that window to get your boarding pass.
Paper Ticket
Paper tickets are not issued. You can board with your digital boarding pass—either printed or shown on your phone—plus a valid ID.
Booking Confirmation
Keep your booking confirmation code handy. You’ll need it to check in online and get your boarding pass.
Vehicles on Board
Baleària lets you bring cars, bikes, scooters, and motorcycles on select ferries. Some ships even have charging stations for electric vehicles. If you are bringing a vehicle, be at the port at least 90 minutes before departure.
Required Documents
Have your boarding pass and a government-issued ID ready. If you are traveling internationally, make sure you also have your passport and any required visas.

Baleària Pet Policy
Baleària offers pet-friendly options to keep your companion safe and comfortable. Depending on the vessel, pets can travel in pet-friendly cabins, onboard kennels, or designated seating areas.
- Pets can stay in pet-friendly cabins, secure kennels, or designated seating areas. Small pets may travel in a carrier on their owner’s lap.
- Pets under 10 kg can remain in a carrier. Pets over 10 kg must use a kennel unless traveling in a pet-friendly cabin.
- Dogs must wear a muzzle and be leashed outside pet areas. Pets are not allowed to roam freely indoors or on deck.
- Service animals are exempt from kennel and carrier requirements.
- A pet ticket may be required depending on the route. Confirm this during booking or with our customer support team.
- You must bring a pet passport, health certificate, or service dog license.
- For Ceuta and Melilla routes, pets must be microchipped, have a valid rabies vaccination (within 12 months), and an EU Pet Passport. Entry is only allowed through authorized Points of Entry. The port of Motril is not authorized.

Baleària Luggage Allowance
Baleària allows passengers to bring hand luggage without check-in requirements, provided they can carry it independently and in one trip. There are no strict size restrictions, but passengers should ensure their luggage is manageable. Once on board, belongings can be placed in open-access storage areas in the passenger lounges.
For added security, it is recommended to keep valuables with you, as Baleària is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you need to travel with additional luggage, Baleària offers a DHL shipping service, which must be arranged before departure directly through the DHL website.
