Hellenic Seaways Check-In & Boarding
Arrival Time
Arrive to the port at least 1 hour before departure. If traveling by car, drivers must be present, and vehicle passengers must exit the vehicle before boarding.
eTicket Options
eTickets are available via Web Check-In. Complete the process 48 to 2 hours before departure to receive your eTicket by email. When boarding, display your eTicket along with a valid passport or ID.
Ticket Collection
You may also collect your ticket at our offices, Miltiadou 7, 6th floor, 105 60, Athens, at least 2 hours before departure. Be sure to present your booking reference, access code, and valid identification.
Paper Ticket
Paper tickets are not provided.
Vehicles On Board
All 13 vessels allow vehicles on board. Bicycles and motorcycles are permitted; for cars, campers, and trucks, please check pricing during booking or contact our support team.
Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs)
Passengers traveling with AFVs must declare them when booking. AFVs include:
- Hybrid and fully electric vehicles with batteries (charge ≤ 40%).
- Vehicles using liquefied or compressed gaseous fuels (fuel tanks ≤ 50%).
- If the vehicle shows any warning alerts, notify the crew immediately.
- The same rules apply to unaccompanied AFVs.
Required Documents
Ensure you have your boarding pass and valid identification (passport or ID, and vehicle license if applicable) ready at check-in. Discounted ticket holders must present supporting documents. The company reserves the right to deny boarding if the proper documents are not provided.

Hellenic Seaways Pet Policy
Pets are welcome aboard Hellenic Seaways vessels under strict guidelines to ensure a comfortable journey for all. Passengers must declare their pets when booking, as tickets are issued in advance (ticket issuance on board is not allowed). To issue a ticket for your pet, please get in touch with our customer support team. Each passenger may travel with up to 5 pets, and reservations are required for pet-friendly cabins (maximum 2 pets per cabin).
- Pets over 10 kg must remain in the ship’s kennel.
- Pets under 10 kg may stay in their owner’s kennel.
- A muzzle is required for all dogs when moving.
- Service dogs are exempt from kennel requirements.
- No pets are allowed indoors or roaming freely on deck.
- A valid pet passport, health certificate, or service dog license is mandatory.
Owners must carry all necessary documents and essentials and are fully responsible for the care, safety, and hygiene of their pets, as well as any damage they may cause during the journey.

Hellenic Seaways Luggage Allowance
Passengers are allowed up to 50 kg (or 1m³) of luggage free of charge. Luggage must be placed in designated storage areas as directed by the crew. While there are no strict size restrictions, passengers should ensure their bags are manageable for easy transport.
For valuable items, passengers are advised to hand them to the Chief Purser for safekeeping and obtain a receipt. The company is not responsible for lost or damaged luggage unless stored with the Purser. Money, valuables, and personal belongings left in cabins, common areas, or vehicles are not covered. Always pack wisely and keep your essentials secure for a stress-free journey!
